Mike, I would love to see that considering I haven't been in the TX building 
since the mid '80s when I left DeKalb.  Next time I'm in the area visting 
family, I would love a quick tour to re-live some memories there.

That Tx originated at WIAA in Traverse City.  The PA tube socket insulator 
was a custom job courtesy of Spaulding Manufacturing in DeKalb.  I was paged 
one damn-cold afternoon while sitting for a final exam at NIU.  After the 
test, I ran out there and took the assembly to their manufacturing GM, who 
personally created a new assembly from a sheet of their glass epoxy stock. 
Not sure how well it held up over the years since nobody really knew the 
electrical properties of the glass board.  It was definitely a case of 
crossing our fingers and hoping for the best.
