Sorry about the triple post, using a web based email client and at 6
am, I'm not awake.

In Jan of 1972, when WOOD-AM-FM broke from the TV, the new radio
company was called WOOD Broadcasting. The GM was Michael Larue, and
the main stockholder was Bill Shcrader, who stayed on as the GM of the
TV station no less.
And yes, the AM is on 1300, and was 5kw, now 4 towers with 20kw. I just
drove by the old 60th st TX site yesterday, and I had to stop the car
and get out. Within the next week, the transmitter building will be
knocked down. The towers, antenna tuning houses are gone, all bull
dozed and gone. Flattend land, with new streets. The years I spent
walking out to those towers. Is it OK for a grown man to cry inside?
I told my wife I feel like buying a lot where tower # 2, the daytime
omni tower sat.
