The 30 year old media buyers bought a lot of WCBS-FM. They lost 
massive billing when they changed. WYNY was doing well as a Country 
station, too and was the highest rated Country station in the 
country. Not hard when you have that massive a market. I think no one 
in New York radio wants to be seen as a hick. It's a shame. I think a 
country station without the Southern accent would do well. Instead, 
it's easier to be the 87th rock station.

I want to do a country format with a Brooklyn accent. Or, a country 
stations with a New Jersey Sopranos accent
