[BC] WHN, was Country music in the Big Apple?

I recall that Ed Solomon programmed until about 1981. DJ's I remember
were Lee Arnold, Del DeMontreaux, Ed Bear, and I think Fort Wayne's own
Larry Kenny.
My notes have Herb at WHN up until around the time WFAN left 1050 and
went to 660. Isn't that when 1050 went spanish and WKSQ 620 had to get a
waiver to operate both stations? Then spanish went to 97.9 and WEVD took
over 1050. Can't quite pin down the year. 1988??
I was outta the Apple in 1986, so it's all fuzzy.
