I don't recall how it was handled,  but WABE-FM,  Atlanta Board  of 
Education, moved their transmitter from Atlanta to the tower atop Stone  Mountain, 
Georgia.  They installed a new DA antenna and a 40 kW.  Transmitter.   The signal 
within the Atlanta market from the day theu  moved was bad.   I don't know how 
long but they later abandonded the  site at Stone Mountain and moved back to 
the city.  I don't rceall iof they  moved to their old site or a new tower 
located in town.
