[BC] computer lock up

One thing you can try is to reseat all of the cards, connectors, and memory 
modules. My computer started acting up the other day. I did this, and it's been 
fine ever since. The last resort is to reseat the CPU as well. You also may 
have a failing power supply. I've seen weird lockups cured by replacing it.
