Interstate 90 has run right between KWAL's 2 tower array since the highway  
was constructed in the early 60's. The government paid for full proofs to be  
done before and after construction. Many readings had to be  taken on horseback 
due to the rugged and roadless mountain terrain north  and south of the site.
