Pretty close, Dave.  WAPE ran a 6696 driver coupled to a pair of Machlett 
5681s in a Weldon grounded grid Doherity circuit.  Super-modulation between 
~ 180-200% positive peak modulation was possible.  That kind of peak reserve 
comes from over-designed RF and power supply components.

I don't believe our testing of the Harris DX-50 came that close in peak 
reserve.  My favorite test was running a 50 Hz square wave at 50KW for five 
minutes as part of our acceptance testing from Harris.  As I recall, total 
Ic was 400 amps.  Harris was paid the balance of the purchase price after 
the test.
