I've been to the building a number of times recently. The Media Heritage
collection was formerly associated with and founded by WVXU/X-Star Radio
Network, Xavier University, for whom I worked until this summer.

I own 19th century buildings much older than the former VOA Bethany
building, and have a good working knowledge of real estate maintenance. Of
course everything must be maintained, but the VOA looks to be in quite
decent condition. Too often the 'tear down' fright is engendered by those
who will profit from both the destruction and rebuilding.

Tearing the building down would be as stupid as dropping the nearby WLW AM
Blaw-Knox tower because it is not 'new'. The only thing wrong at the VOA is
that it is silent as a tomb.

Dumb and shortsighted. Incidentally the building is concrete and concrete
block, not brick.
