I've a customer and a friend in the Dallas TX area that is putting up a 
display like this.  He's had something on the order of 100 amps of 
additional electrical service installed in his house to drive it.

He needs the power because he's running mostly C9 and C7 bulbs.  He 
could go LED and save a lot of power, but the initial cost is apparently 
quite high.   Well, when you're buying Christmas lights in 500-foot 
commercial spools, I imagine the cost does add up.

Also included is a dedicated PC to drive the music, speakers on the 
lawn, and a micro FM transmitter for folks driving by to tune in to the 
music.  And he had a sign company make up banners (mini billboards) 
advertising his "station."  From his yard, of course.   Which, I 
believe, sort of steers this back On Topic.  ;)
