Tom...he's right. They are no longer required. I have a First Phone and I carry a lifetime card in my wallet. That's it.

  What do you mean "no longer required"? Are you trying to
  tell me FCC rules "no longer require" a First Class Radiotelephone
  (replaced by the GROL)? Do pilots no longer need licenses?
  Gun owners no longer need permits? It sounds like you are
  treating me like Little Johnny!!
