I can think of  only one other position within a station which can be just as stable as the 
engineers.  Anyone care to venture a guess?  I know people who make careers 
of this position at one station/cluster.


Well it used to be the overnight jock but since satellite delivered programming and in-house automation that is probably the incorrect answer. Seems G.M.'s making bad decisions seem to stick around for a long time. :) Maybe the janitor or the Web Master.
