It's certainly not owners. At one of the last corporate groups that I
worked for, we went through a foreclosure and two owners during the six
months before the new owners decided to let the crew from "existing
stations" handle everything.
The last true "independent" station I engineered is now a Wal-Mart
Supercenter! Believe it or not, the property owner claims to have
generated substantially more money by selling the TX site to Wal-Mart.
These two experiences are what pushed me into ownership. I figure
that, if I have to fire myself, I must be getting pretty bad! On the
other hand, I keep having trouble coming up with my retainer!
