It doesn't seem confined to CC stations. On my IBUZ travels with the 
Kenwood receiver all commercial stations but one in Boston, 
Worcester, Springfield, Hartford and Albany were heavily processed so 
that there was no difference between the analog and either digital channel.

Only WBOS, Boston, and the non-commercial stations were taking any 
advantage of digital's supposed superiority. It seemed intentional, 
so mode switching wouldn't be noticeable.

Not only are stations running jukeboxes, they're not even giving 
receiver buyers quality reasons to buy.
