That's one of the main reasons "real radio" should survive. You're right 
about the ability to sample, but a lot of people now sample new songs on the WEB. 
They like, they buy.

Because I work in Radio, I can sample quite a good number of songs from the 
Promo-Only MPE Service. If the song fits our Format criteria, I download it and 
import it into our HD system. If it doesn't, I stop the stream and go to the 
next one. It's great, because it saves them the expense of mailing out bunches 
of CD's that most likely will end up tossed.

Little by little, I'm seeing more music being distributed/offered online. I 
welcome the technology. It enables "small" stations like my employer to get 
acccess to all of the music the "big" stations get.
