Think outside the box! Other than technology! What is shown is
a picture of the BH-1 (Brass Hoop version one). Ever hear the
expression "Have to jump through a lot of hoops?". There were
several previous models. Wood was difficult and expensive to
maintain the circular form and size required by the hoop. Iron
rusted, aluminum pitted, copper turned green, glass was fragile
so brass was ultimately chosen. No rotting, degradation or
severe discoloration.

The size was selected on the basis of the average person, considering
there were tall/short, slim/overweight.
