The right wing stations are usually on the heritage blowtorches. WWKB
has already failed twice as a talk station, even though it would be
considered a blowtorch with the nighttime signal it puts into Western
MA. The right wing market is glutted with available talent. The left
has only a few.

In Western MA the left wing shows are on small signal stations that
don't cover the market. One is a trimulcast. The other is on one of
the puniest signals (WMAS-AM) I've ever seen. I get WWKB, nearly 400
miles away, better than WMAS 10 miles away. Between them they cover
both ends of the spectrum. The FM is #1 and the AM doesn't exist. I
was told the previous owner sold the land next to the AM tower for a
building. There went the ground system.

There are two right wing stations covering the market. WHYN (5Kw @
560) and WTIC (50Kw @ 1080). Both have huge signals and share some
shows. There isn't much hope for left wing programming here, even
though it's considered a progressive market. Lots of art colonies,
new age resorts and gay marriage. Still no hope.
