Dana,

It is clear you have never watched a time clock in a factory
at 3:30 PM. It appears they are trying - unsuccessfully if
you read all the article - to substitute for human frailty,
i.e., "loaning" passes to co-workers.

The problem with RFID's for this purpose should be obvious.
Retinal scanners developed for a good reason, but you get
the security you pay for - if you are very lucky.

BTW 1984 came a few years early. The present flap is only
the tip of the iceberg.
