Ah there's another one  "Big John and Sparky"  every afternoon on  ABC radio 
from Cincinatti as I recall.
 
Also ran on Saturday mornings.    Can you imaging the theme  song with 
today's connotations.
 
 
 
The Teddy Bears Picnic......."if you go down to the woods  
today..............."  Wow what some morning jocks could do with that  song.
 
Sparky was evidently recorded on disk or tape and played back a high  speed.  
Probably 30 years before David Seville and the Chipmonks.
 
I believe the show tried to move to television using marionettes  or  maybe 
my cob webs are crossed up again.
 
 
Mark Trail,  The Lone Ranger,  Sgt. Preston of the Yukon.  I  remember in 
1952 I learned something about politics since all the late afternoon  kids 
programs were taken off radio for the national conventions.    Gosh am I old.
