I have the history of KTLA on my website. It was the second station in
Los Angeles. Harry Lubke
(http://www.tech-notes.tv/Biographies/Harry%20L/harry_lubcke_page.htm)
put W6XAO on the air back in the early 30's. Don McCroskey wrote this
piece for me. He also talks about KTLA being the 2nd station in LA.
Klaus Landsburg signed W6XYZ (Later KTLA) on the air in 1942. It was the
first station to transmit from Mt. Wilson. Much of that story can also
be seen on my website
(http://www.tech-notes.tv/Biographies/Landsberg%20Bio/Landsberg%20biography.htm)
Paramount was the original owner of both W6XYZ and KTLA.
