This is common to small markets virtually
anywhere. You can be a "furriner" in
New England, in Washington State, in
Arizona, virtually anywhere.
Part of the problem is the whole
industry grabbed at "cost reduction"
and many stations do sound stale and
"programmed from Dallas." However,
there are stations that do "superserve"
their community, even when it is not easy.
Trouble is ... there is about as much support
for those owners at the NAB as there is
for engineers.
