One of the greatest experiences of my life was to have had the honor and
pleasure of working with Frank, exceeded only by the even greater
treasure of calling him a good friend. He was in love with science and
learning new things, and did a fabulous job of teaching, too. His
enthusiasm was infectious, fed by a depth of knowledge and width of
interests that seemed unlimited.
His passing is a terrible loss.
