There were two sets of capstan sleeves and pinch rollers
for the old standard PT-6 Maggie. One (small sleeve) was
7.5 IPS while the other (2x dia. and about the same size
as the companion pinch roller) was 15 IPS.
In the late '50's we sometimes used the 15 IPS speed up
of 7.5 IPS recordings in gimmick spots and promos.
Later, when the PT-63 Maggie came out, it had a two
speed capstan motor that gave either 3.75/7.5 IPS
using the 7.5 IPS PT6 parts or 7.5/15 IPS using the
15 IPS sleeve and roller. The 63 also had a 3rd head
which added echo possibilities like an Ampex.
