[BC] The Lohman and Barkley mystery

  I have been trying to find our more about one of the great mysteries in
radio broadcasting.  For 23 years Al Lohman and Roger Barkley were the top
morning drive show in the Los Angeles market.   They began a "Bob and Ray"
style show on KLAC in 1962 featuring numerous characters and skits
interspersed with music and news.  Their show moved to KFWB in 1967 and then
to KFI in 1968 where they were a fixture for 17 years.

  Then one morning in 1985 Barkley stunned his long time partner and fans by
suddenly getting up and walking out right in the middle of their show.   It
is said the two men never spoke to each other again and neither would ever
talk about what happen that morning.   Can anyone tell me more about this
strange end to LA's most successful morning radio team?
