[BC] Magnetic Amplifiers Redux

Regarding the previous discussion on magnetic amplifiers, one person sent  me 
a link to the Wikipedia article on the same subject.  The article is  very 
short and in need of expansion.
 
Since I have several Wikipedia articles in progress, I'd like to take this  
one on as well.  If anyone can provide information that would be relevant  to 
such an article, I would like to include it in the rewrite.  I will, of  
course, provide credit to the contributors.
