Dave,
First thing. You attributed the quote below to the wrong person. I am
sure AOL has a lot to do with this.
Second. I would assume that HD is produced in one standard for all to
convert to what they use. I dont know the setup, but it is possible all
the cameras are HD and down converts are used as SD feeds. It is likely
under that scenario that the orignal HD feed is 1080i/50 which would be
downconverted to PAL for SD production and then to NTSC for the US. The
HD feed would then have to be converted to 1080i/60.
