If all your doing is voice than a Marti will do you fine. Even though you
are a station i beleive Marti still requires a seperate license, but
equipment is floating around cheap enough.

Sounds like using a marti would be the next option for us.

http://www.panaxis.com/index.html
it won't go a 1/4 of a mile though, especially if the receiver is in a
high
RF environment. Please heed my words, which are from experience. I got
busted Running 100mw. I can't recommend this to a licensed station. at a
minimum the resuruant and the station could both be fined, at a maximum
you
lose your license. Part 15 AM won't work in a high RF environment
either.
your most cost effective route is 802.11b for less than 1k. the next
step up
from that for a license free stl is 8k from harris i beleive. it's audio
quality is better, it's more immune to high RF. as a plus you can do a
lot
more with a 54 to 108mbps link as opposed to a 1 way part 15 fm link.

Robert,
I disagree. Ramsey makes them, but they have gotten in some hot water
with the comm., so I'm staying away from them. I've heard of a company
called Panaxis, that claims there is FCC, Part 15 Certified, but can't
find a website for them.
