thanks Kirk.  Yeah, I'm still thinking of the Central Server stuff, where 
very little of the soundfiles info is stored locally.
all the workspace does in those is connect the soundcard to the Novell 
server.

(That's because 'back in my day' huge local drives weren't really the cost 
effective way to do things... My first server seemed pretty big with six 
9-gb external HD's :-)

  Now, I guess, the workspaces hold the audio and software handles sharing, 
and it looks more and more like it's just peer-to-peer...
