But Burt, considering performance, a simple table model
of yesteryear would be high end today. <g>
I fondly remember the Fisher and Sherwood tuners where < 1 uV gave
20 dB quieting and 10 uV was good for rebroadcast. Of course that
was the best we could do with TUBES in the late **'50's**. You
would think after nearly 50 years there might have been one or two
improvements, not regressions. And don't get me started on the
topic of automotive radios vs. what passes for such today. Arrrgh.
But I'm just an old ... whatever ... who remembers when
radio worked. ;-)
