While we're on this type of subject, take a look at this junkyark special
and try to figure out how it may have worked--assuming that it did.
 What you're looking at is a rotor made of 120 or 125 V shaped magnets
scrounged from old Ford magnetos (either Model A or T) embedded in cement,
poles out..............
