I want to propose sales people passing a course on computer operations and getting a license (like we had to have 1st phones) as a condition of hiring.

  I have a good situation. While expected to take care of a lot of areas,
  the priorities are right and set by myself in most cases. 

  But it is amazing how "important" a printer or "the internet" is. I've
  had sales folks who had trouble figuring out how to use the other network
  printer. If their "default" is down.... they are in trouble. They won't
  read my very short emails or notes on the topic.
