Ahhh fun times..TV. I had one of the "Barbie Doll" reporters every single
day call for an Engineer to fix her computer because it never ever worked.
Each and every single time her monitor was off. Computer was fine. Duh. I
have a feeling they pass classes in other ways.

I have enjoyed reading the notes on the ridiculous SALES people, but have
any of you ever worked in television News rooms?
It is there that you will lose all respect for any television news within a
few days of working.
I have had some of the most bizarre things asked of me from News people.
Example: Anchor states, how come alaska is so cold and hawaii so hot when
they are right next to each other on a map. (pointing to a map where these
two states are in the lower left corner together.) (Surprised this one
realized that proximity on the map had to do with climate at all)
Example: Another anchor calls me over to fix the fax machines, the sports
scores are not coming in. I reached down, plugged it in, gave a glaring
look and left without saying ONE word.
I was later written up because this one filed a complaint that I didn't have
to "make him feel stupid in front of everyone"
Example: Anchor can't fax with the new computers, is holding paper to be
faxed up to the screen and clicking the fax icon. Ugh.
I haven't been around a tv newsroom in a long time, but those three come to
mind I could think of dozens more but my cell phone is ringing.
