Probably not the right subject line.

One of the most sobering aspects of the time I spent in radio was when
the local suicide prevention/crisis hot-line began with a phone number very
similar to our request line, one digit different, in about 1975. I did
Sunday night/ Monday morning overnight maintenance and fielded many calls
that were intended for their number. Most were just lonely people needing
someone to listen. Trying to explain to them that they had the wrong number
was not the right thing to do much of the time. Hope we did some good.

Of course today it would be a great way to get sued for
misrespresenttation.
