If you're meaning that the average power of the carrier increases during 
AM, that technique usually is called "controlled carrier" modulation.  The 
old Heathkit DX-35 used it, for example.  But that really isn't 
supermodulation, it is just ~100% modulation of the carrier power that 
exists at the instant of modulation -- and that carrier power is controlled 
by the modulating waveform.

It does put more r-f in the sidebands (without excessive distortion) than 
conventional AM of the same unmodulated carrier.  But the varying average 
carrier value produces varying C/N ratio in the demodulated audio at the 
receiver.
