Phil,
I agree with that! The night power I have is (to me) just about
useless, although since the transmitter I have will go that low, without
distortion, I just leave it on and let the Digital Juke Box play all
night. I live 2 minutes from my station, so I can hear it at the house
and night and it Juke Box hangs up in the middle of the night, I'll know
about it.
I've always liked daytimers because you can do maintenance at more
reasonable times on them. <g> However, the FCC has turned them into
a dying breed by ruling that no new daytime only licenses will be
issued. Of course that doesn't stop them from granting 50 kW daytime,
250 W nighttime class B's with 3 or 4 towers daytime and 6 or more
at night, while calling THAT full time operation. <g>
