About 5 years ago Staples tried what (I think) was an unfriendly
takeover
of Office Depot. It had gone so far that Staple policy books, etc,
etc,
had been delivered to the Office Depot employees. At the last minute
the "merger" was turned down by authorities.
According to press reports the surviving management of Office Depot
collected all the Staples stuff and had a big bonfire and the
employees
rejoiced.
