Just save as WAV in Cool Edit, then you can BATCH CONVERT in LAME. I do it 
this way all the time. :)

IMHO, if Adobe really cared one iota about us users, they would NOT have 
abandoned support of Cool Edit 2000! Grrr!!! >:[ 

We're still using it, and plan to *keep* using it until the Rapture. ;) 
(Seriously. With the "Studio" and "Clean-up" plug-ins, it does absolutely 
everything we need, and then some.)
