Yes, and in SoCal we had two 1 kW DA-D Class IVs ... Santa Paula and 
Ventura ... both in Ventura County, and now "bedroom" communities for
Los 
Angeles.

Now, there are probably more Class Cs which have less than 1 kW-D than 
there are Class Cs with DA-Ds, if any remain.

Dial-a-power solves the problem for Class Cs which can operate ND-D with

250 or 500 watts, but not with 1 kW.

Then, powers were 100, 250, 500 and 1000 watts, and no others.
