Since no one has heard anything about such a limitation I doubt even
they would be stupid enough to require such a thing. Having been
involved with a number of streaming companies (none of them still
exist) I can tell you streaming can be expensive. broadcast.com never
made money on streaming radio stations. Other, less glamorous,
services made them worth what Yahoo paid. They paid a fortune, then
shut it down.
I think it's a cost issue, not a contractual restriction.
