I dont think Canada has given up any of it's protections.  I know we protect
lots of dark stations in Canada now.
CFRB is still a major player even if it's on AM.  I dont ever see them
giving that up.  Kinda like when CBC shut down 690 and 740. Wasnt long
before new stations showed up there.

One would think with the folks in Canada wanting to abandon AM,
Infinity/CBS would buy that station from them and take it dark, almost
giving them a Non-DA at night.

WINS' pattern always had problems.

Killing KLRA improved WINS' NIF, but it still had to deal with the
Canadian Class A only 350 miles away.

KLRA was 1100 miles away.
