You can buy a USB to tcp/ip interface and if you have a router and high speed
in your house you can set up the TIVO to gets its information on line and
disconnect from the phone line. I assume that if you are planning on VoverIP
you will have high speed. Go to the TIVO web site.
It also allows you to program the TIVO on the road. In my case if I see
something in the Eastern Zone on a trip I can get online and program the TIVO to
tape it in the Central Zone.
Also you are suppossed to be able to transfer video via TCP/IP but I haven't
had time to mess with that yet.
