Dana,
Don't blame the AM Broadcasters, the AM broadcasters were waiting!
Blame the FCC, Lenoard Kahn, Harris and Motorola. In other words,
politics!

The bottom line is this:
MILLIONS of AM stereo receivers were and are still in the field NOW! AM
stereo
was easy and cheap to impliment. YET..the AM broadcasters STILL managed
to
SCREW IT UP BIG TIME!
What makes you believe that AM IBOC will be any different?
Except for the fact that it's expensive, hard to impliment, interferes
with
both you and your neighbors, and the receivers in the field are measured
in
but hunderds, what's so special about AM IBOC that will make is
successful
when AM stereo failed??

I have a wide band AM stereo receiver in one of my trucks. It sounds
great! That being said, I have not had ANY troubles with IBOC hiss
on the HD channels. Yes I have been listening for it as well.
ON a side note, thank you to WGN for playing some classical late
Friday night on Extension 7-20. Sounded so good on AM!

OK how many "instances"? ONE? You will have more true power line
noise reports than you would IBOC reports. Should that make power
companies illegal?
