Or yanked out the copper ground radials.  Maybe it's already gone but the
strap is still around the tower base.

with the price of scrap steel what it is, i'm mildly surprised no one has
knocked the whole thing down, cut it up and hauled it away to sell to China.

oh baby!!!

i'd like to restore that and make it a ham shack and put my hamilton
am1000rangemaster right at the top of that tower :)

string a B&W HF Folded Dipole 45 deg angle from the top of the tower. maybe
a rotatable tri-band beam for 6m/2m/70cm. use the dish for EME.
