I whished their BA-1K wouldn't have blown away! I would have loved to
have it to play with!

PDJ2 in St. Maarten had its tx facility and studios destroyed by
hurricanes
Marilyn and Luis in late 1996. We previously used a McMartin BA-1K 1 kW
tx.
We upgraded to a B.E. AM-5A 5 kW SS tx. Since the station's license
specifies a maximum of 10 kW, no approval or notice was required. The
tower
stood (was built in Jan, 1987).

I observed AC line voltage variation from 200 to 215 VAC over an 8 hour
period.
