I remember getting a tour of VOA Bethany back in the mid 70's. I just
walked in the front door, signed the guest log, and told the engineer that
asked if he could help me that I was a ham and could I get a tour. He was
very nice, showed me all the transmitters. Of all of them, I recall the 3
units each 1/4 million watts, and the one that was double sideband
suppressed carrier with different program content on each sideband. And
those big Rhombics and that curtain antenna. Would have loved to worked 20
meters with that baby....

I would imagine that after 9-11-01. it may take an act of congress to get a
tour.
Hey is there an SBE chapter in the area? That might get you an in.
