I'm not a lawyer, but I'm a student of the law.....and, from what I 
understand, in most states, 911 calls can be considerd to be public 
records, and states with open records laws have to make them available. 
The decision to run them on the air is what is suspect here. But, then 
again, it's TV news.......flash and trash that PT Barnum would envy...
