The station recoverd from Tanner's departure pretty well. Hired a guy 
named Bob Burton from WSGN in Birmingham to do mornings. He eventually 
teamed with a TV sales guy from Hattiesburg name Kurt Kilpatrick. They 
ended up in Houston years later. Bill Crews stuck around, as did Jim 
Chick. My old room mate David Blair came over from WWUN, and that rascal 
Bob Grayson (walt's kid brother) also worked there. It was a great 
operation. My time was during the move from the TV3 studios out to the 
xmtr site on Beasley Road. Those Fairchild boards were a trip. Nothing 
like that anywhere in Mississippi at the time.
