number to WLS Chicago's request line.  Anyone remember which one that was?

    yeah, kinda like all phone numbers in movies have a prefix of
555, 'cause it never goes anywhere but the telco.

    For years, I don't think there was a working 634-57889 number
anywhere in the country. . .
