[BC] Oakland IA Tower death

I just got off the phone with a guy on the staff of our Eagle Grove (IA)
station. This fellow does production and on-air for us but used to work with
Leo Deters about 10 years ago--he said he was trained by Leo, and always
considered him to be an excellent mentor in tower work.

Chris hadn't heard the news about the accident until his news guy read it
during the noon news on his shift today. What a kick in the head. I had no
idea that Chris had worked for a tower company, much less knew one of the
guys who was killed.

I remember getting similar bad news in the middle of an airshift once--it
really threw me for a loop.
