[BC] computer question

Hi Jeff, yes, the 2 computers are exactly the same, except for the
operating systems. I also tried a plain old PS2 mouse, no optical,
nothing but a mouse. It will work when plugged into the computer
directly. It also works on the other computer, matter of fact, it is
the one we use all the time. There is no KMV switch in this system,
just the cable connectors. The extention cables are made by Belkin (?),
so they should be good qquality.

Subject: Re: [BC] computer question
Hello John,
It appears that the motherboard of the no-op computer does not like the
extra reactance of the long extension. It is an identical m'board to the
one that works??
Are you using an optical mouse? Perhaps the extra current draw of the
LEDs
is making things unhappy. Is there a KVM switch involved??
I'd try a ball mouse on a premium extension cable.
